30 seconds of editing...

Due to the problems with Premiere I am only able to upload 30 seconds worth of what I have done.
There are still a few editing glitches and I need to reorganise the audio so that the sound flows.

Possible Photos for Film Magazine...

Looking at existing film posters I have noticed that the image is either of the actor, which usually includes an interview with them on their role. Or it is an image of 'The Villain' in the film as their character not the actor that plays them.

I decided that I wanted the option to do both so I have taken images of my main actress and the villain in my trailer.

Here are the images of my actress:

These are the images of the villain:

If I were to use either of the two images above I would make the edge look a lot darker to make the photo look more intense and to hide anything that looks 'homely' which is the opposite effect that I want from the magazine.

I also think that the two images above would be good to use on my film poster so I may consider these photos as well.

Background for my Poster...

I want to have the background on my poster dark and sinister looking but I do not want it to look flat or dull so I have taken some images of different textures that I think will be appropriate and make the poster look more dynamic.

Creating Texture...

I have been looking at posters for my ancillery task and I have noticed that most of them have a lot of texture which makes them look more interesting than if fewer colours were used.

For example...

This is an example of a film poster which just has a black background which is very basic:

This is another example of a film poster, however lots of textures have been used and it was proved to be very popular with it's audience.

What I need to do...

I had originally planned on having a plain background for my poster, however after looking at the comparisons between the two above I have decided that I would prefer to have my poster to have a similar effect to the 'Drag Me To Hell' poster.
This means that I will need to take images that have more dimention to them. I could photograph a black piece of paper, walls, materials or even items of clothing that have a lot of texture to them. This will ensure that the poster does not look flat or boring.
